Grief is a sacred experience we go through as humans
To be human is to know grief
When grief shows up in our lives, it is a call to come home and to remember your humanity

Grief meets us with a heart shattering shock to our system
A void that now begs of us to fill it with the enlightenment of our pain
Mystics often reflect that grief is what brings us closer to the Divine
An opportunity to meet God and experience the holy longing our spiritual nature yearns for
When we are met with grief, we can either push it aside, allowing our heart to callous, our spirit to drown and the dust of our neglect build
Or we can turn towards our grief and witness it
Nurture it
Honor it
And take a deep bow to this transformative, earth-shattering human experience
